Through out the first year of your baby’s life your sweet little will be covered in drool, come down with a fever, and be crying in pain. A lot of times it can become stressful because, let’s just face it, we HATE to hear our angels cry! Don’t stress too much, this momma has got you covered! Including the “Mexican remedies” and NOT including essential oils! LOL. No offense to essential oil lovers.
Baltic Amber Teething Necklace!
For me my number one, everyday go to, is definitely the Baltic Amber necklace! I’m a tried and true momma, so believe me when I say my first born drooled like there was no tomorrow! He constantly wore a bib! Now I don’t know about you, but I just don’t like bibs! LOL. They’re a nuisance, they ruin a cute outfit, sometimes even pictures! Now Rylie, my second baby, wears this necklace all the time. 24/7 EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Believe me when I say, she’s never worn a bib, and I’ve never had to carry a burp rag to wipe up baby drool. It definitely has drool covered, and it relieves mild pain. Of course when you have that breakthrough day, you’ll need something stronger, but I definitely swear by this. I recommend this to any and every mama!
*Side note: i linked the one i bought, however if you decide to buy from etsy, amazon, or elsewhere, make sure it comes with an authenticity certificate. It just ensures you’ll be getting a pure form of Baltic Amber
Mommy Teething Necklace
An alternative to the Baltic Amber necklaces or teething toys; are the “Mommy Teething Necklaces,” I had 2 and only wore them a handful of times. Mainly because it didn’t match with everything i have. LOL. Which was my mistake because this comes in pearly white & they look like pearls. Adorbs! The purpose is mainly to soothe the gums and have a “convenient soother” around your neck. It’s not 100% effective, but it definitely helps your mini keep their mind off of the pain.
This one is an “old wives tale” or “Mexican Remedy” as my family would call it. Lol. I’m hispanic/ mexican-american, whatever you want to call it. With that being said my grandm used Vicks for EVERYTHING. When i say everything, i mean EVERYTHING! LOL. If i told her i needed help soothing my baby…. she would probably tell me “ponte Vicks y ya.” Which translates to just put vicks and be done. HAHAHA. Back to the washcloth remedy, if I’m being 100% honest, its actually my mom’s remedy.. and her moms, and my grandmas moms, etc. Okay, serious time. When both of my babies were teething my mom always swore by getting a baby washcloth, wetting it, sticking it in the freezer, and then taking it out and letting my babies gnaw on it. I can’t say it works completely, but I know it helps relieve the pain temporarily.
These are my favorite! You can make just about any kind of popsicle treat, and its frozen, which is how it helps soothe the gums.
Rylie’s favorites are strawberry banana, regular formula, and apples & cinnamon.
Just get any popsicle molder, pour in breastmilk or formula milk & voila! Of course i added her favorite baby foods to add flavor. You can do the same & replace with your baby’s faves.
These are a LIFESAVER!!!

I love this because im always iffy about whats toxic, and whats not. Especially with teething tablets, orajel, and tylenol. Those are my last go too’s, because i feel like if she’s wearing her necklace and having popsicles, and using teether, most of the pain stays low.
Good luck with your mini and the teething stage. 🙂
